2 Day Outdoor Itinerary
Day 1
Start your trip with a cycle or walk along the Monasteries of the Moy Greenway, stopping to explore the impressive Moyne Abbey. Later in the day, enjoy the peaceful trails of Belleek Woods or try your luck at some fishing on the River Moy. Visit the peaceful ruins of Rosserk Friary, one of the finest examples of medieval Franciscan architecture in Ireland. Return to Ballina Manor Hotel for a relaxed evening, delicious dinner in the Ridgepool Restaurant and a good night’s sleep in one of our comfortable guestrooms.
Day 2
After fueling up with a delicious and hearty breakfast the next morning, head out to the stunning cliffs of Downpatrick Head for sea views and photo-worthy landscapes. Then visit the nearby Céide Fields, one of the world’s oldest field systems. In the afternoon, stop by Killala Bay for fresh sea air or optional water sports before a stop at the Ballina Dolmen, a striking ancient portal tomb just outside town, Return to the hotel for your final dinner and night cap in The Bentley Bar followed by a restful nights sleep.
