The River Moy is famous for Salmon Fishing and an angler’s dream location.  Ballina is, in fact, the Salmon capital of Ireland. If you are not the Fishing enthusiast but enjoy fish as a dish then the food on offer in restaurants and our hotel is second to none.

We would recommend visiting the Jackie Clarke Collection, Belleek Forest, the ruins of Moyne Abbey, Rosserk Friary dating back to the 15th Century and a definite must is the highly impressive St Muredach’s Cathedral standing on the banks of the River Moy.

Killala Bay

Killala Bay north of Ballina and only a short 5.5 miles from the Ballina Manor Hotel should be visited.  The blue flag stunning beaches are excellent for swimming and water sports.

Perfect for the Staycations this year, with the golden sand and stunning views there is something for all the family. 

You can also enjoy fishing, bird watching and seal spotting at Killala Bay, this is not to mention the gorgeous food and traditional Irish pubs also on offer, we highly recommend that you put Killala Bay on your itinerary.
